After a tumultuous year of loss and introspection, Foo Fighters announced their upcoming 11th album, But Here We Are, set to release on June 2nd via Roswell Records/RCA Records. The band’s press release revealed that the album will be a brutally honest and emotionally raw response to the challenges they faced over the past year. But Here We Are will explore a range of emotions, from the pain of loss to the healing power of music, and promises to be a testament to the bonds of friendship and family that keep us strong.

The album’s opening track “Rescued” is out now and is expected to set the tone for the rest of the album. The band has created 10 songs that are said to explore a range of emotions, from rage and sorrow to serenity and acceptance. Produced by Greg Kurstin and the band themselves, But Here We Are represents both a continuation of the band’s journey and a new chapter in their lives.

“Sonically channelling the naiveté of Foo Fighters’ 1995 debut, informed by decades of maturity and depth, ‘But Here We Are’ is the sound of brothers finding refuge in the music that brought them together in the first place 28 years ago, a process that was as therapeutic as it was about a continuation of life, ” the press release states.

The process of creating this album was therapeutic for the band, as they found refuge in each other and the music they love.

Earlier this year, Foo Fighters suffered a devastating loss when their longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins passed away just before they were set to perform at a festival in Bogota, Colombia. The band has dedicated But Here We Are to his memory. Although the new drummer’s identity has not yet been revealed, the band has promised that their sound remains true to their roots. Fans can expect a powerful and emotional album that showcases Foo Fighters at their best.

But Here We Are is expected to be a powerful testament to the healing power of music and the bonds of friendship and family. It will explore the highs and lows of life and showcase Foo Fighters at their most vulnerable and authentic. With their latest offering, the band will surely prove that they’re still at the top of their game and ready to take on whatever comes next. Fans eagerly await the arrival of But Here We Are and are excited to see what Foo Fighters have in store for their 11th album.
