Get ready to laugh your way through another season of firefighting shenanigans, as truTV announces the highly anticipated premiere of Tacoma FD season four on Thursday, July 20 at 10:00 PM. This hilarious comedy series brings back the dynamic duo of Kevin Heffernan as Chief Terry McConky and Steve Lemme as Captain Eddie Penisi, leading their quirky crew, including Marcus Henderson as Granny, Gabriel Hogan as Ike, and Hassie Harrison as Lucy, through a slew of new emergencies, a station renovation, and the introduction of a new recruit named Mickleberry, played by Chris Avila.

“We’re excited to bring the TFD fans 13 new episodes starting July 20th,” said Lemme.

Heffernan chimed in, “I’ve worked really hard getting into bathing suit shape for the summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone for hot dogs and beers at Lemme’s house.”

Set in a firehouse in Tacoma (unfortunately, it’s not actually filmed in Tacoma… c’mon guys!), Tacoma FD showcases the hilarious escapades of these firefighters as they navigate creative competitions, friendly rivalries with other first responders, and some truly bizarre emergency calls. Brace yourself for a season filled with laughs, surprises, and celebrity guests.

Joining the cast this season are none other than Tony Danza, who will play a guardian angel, and David Arquette as Teddy Dickosi, Captain Penisi’s rival for the approval of the Chief. Also, look out for appearances by WWE pro wrestler Dexter Lumis, MC Gainey (Lost), Timothy Murphy (Sons of Anarchy), and Amin Joseph (Snowfall). But don’t worry, your favorite characters will be back too! Joe Pantoliano, Paul Soter, Jim Rash, Jon Rudnitsky, Maria Russell, and Jamie Kaler will all make appearances throughout the 13 new episodes.

Heffernan and Lemme, who are part of the renowned comedy troupe Broken Lizard, co-created Tacoma FD for truTV, and it first hit the airwaves in 2019. Broken Lizard is best known for their hit film, Super Troopers, which was shot in 2000. The movie, featuring rural highway patrolmen who go to great lengths to make their jobs entertaining, quickly gained attention and even secured a distribution deal from Fox Searchlight Pictures after uproarious screenings at the Sundance Film Festival. Although it enjoyed only moderate theatrical success upon its release in February 2002, Super Troopers eventually developed a passionate cult following.

So mark your calendars and get ready for the fourth season of Tacoma FD, premiering on July 20. As much as we’d love to start watching right meow, we’ll just have to wait a little longer for the hilarity to ensue.
