The Offspring have announced their 2023 Let The Bad Times Roll Tour, which will kick off on August 1 at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, WA. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will have special guests Simple Plan and Sum 41 joining them for the 24-city run.

Dexter Holland, the lead vocalist of The Offspring, expressed his excitement about the tour, saying, “One of the best things about being on tour is traveling the world playing to great audiences, and it’s even better when you can do it with your friends – we had sold out International tours with Simple Plan and Sum 41, and we’re excited that they’ll be joining us this Summer in America. It’s going to be great!”

Chuck Comeau of Simple Plan also shared his enthusiasm, saying, “We couldn’t be more excited to get back on tour all across the US with our friends The Offspring and Sum 41! We had such a blast touring with both of them last year that we just had to do it again and put together what we feel will be one of the most awesome tours of the summer.”

The Offspring, known for their distinctive sound and social commentary, have sold over 40 million albums throughout their career. The band achieved worldwide success in the 90s with the release of their album Smash, which sold over 11 million copies. They continued to release hits and achieve mainstream success with their music, and Let the Bad Times Roll marks the band’s tenth studio album and third album produced by Bob Rock. The band and lyricist Dexter Holland took a view to today’s cultural moments and didn’t shy away from creating topical material in this album.

Simple Plan, formed in Montreal in 1999, have sold over 10 million albums worldwide, won multiple Juno Awards, and performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The band’s latest album, Harder Than It Looks, is the first self-released album from the band and pushes the band forward in new ways.

The band recently launched the #ImJustAKid TikTok challenge, which has garnered more than 3.4 million videos. The challenge has become a widespread phenomenon among families on the social media platform. The challenge involves recreating childhood photos with adult family members while using Simple Plan’s early-aughts’ pop-punk song “I’m Just A Kid” as the background music for the looping video. This trend has gained popularity during the quarantine period, and many families have participated, resulting in a surge of user-generated content.

Sum 41, who have sold over 15 million records worldwide, have been credited with reviving mainstream interest in rock in the 1990s. Vocalist Deryck Whibley has stated that the band’s new double album, titled Heaven and Hell, is shaping up to be the most ambitious of their career. Half of the album brings Sum 41 back to their pop-punk roots, while the other half is strictly metal.

Tickets for the Let The Bad Times Roll Tour will be available starting with Citi, VIP and Platinum Seating presales on Tuesday, March 21, with the general on-sale beginning on Friday, March 24, at 10 am local time on Live Nation. The tour promises to be a summer highlight for fans of rock music and an opportunity to see three iconic bands perform together.
