Seattle-born rapper and GRAMMY Award winner, Macklemore, announced today that he will be performing at Climate Pledge Arena on Thursday, December 21. Interestingly, Macklemore’s initial tour announcement earlier this year did not include a Seattle date. However, during his surprise free show at Neumo’s on March 6th, he hinted at a future announcement.

Macklemore recently released his third studio album, “Ben,” on March 3rd, marking his return to the music scene after his last release, “Gemini,” back in 2017. Following a successful tour in Europe, he will kick off the North American leg of his “Ben Tour” in September and conclude the tour here in Seattle.

To secure your spot at the Climate Pledge Arena concert, there are a few presale opportunities available. Citi card members will have the first chance to purchase tickets starting tomorrow, Tuesday, June 6, at 9 a.m. Additional presales will take place on Wednesday, June 7: an artist presale at 9 a.m. and a Hometown Team presale at 11 a.m. Finally, the general public can purchase tickets when they go on sale on Friday, June 9, at 9 a.m.

This will be Macklemore’s first show at Climate Pledge Arena. The venue, formerly known as KeyArena, underwent a major renovation to become the world’s first certified carbon-neutral arena. Now named Climate Pledge Arena, it symbolizes Seattle’s and Amazon’s commitment to fighting climate change.
