One of the main objectives of the Tasveer Film Summit is to provide avenues and opportunities for diasporic filmmakers to showcase their stories on a global scale. Addressing the glaring disparities in Asian representation, as highlighted in the 2022 Hollywood Diversity Report, which revealed that Asian representation in film stands at under 4%, Tasveer aims to challenge the status quo. Through an array of panels, industry mixers, networking events, and multiple pitch sessions, the summit seeks to drive reformation, knowledge, and momentum in the film industry.
